Close call between hooper and Lee.

Kieran Lee was everywhere, scored a terrific goal and had a second one totally wrongly chalked off. What a comeback performance from him, narrowly takes MOTM for me ahead of Hooper.

A tougher vote than it seemed because Lee, Bannan, Fletcher... were all excellent.

 

Had to go with Hooper though. He's terrific and our best player, who should really be in the Premier League, and really deserved a hat-trick and oh-so-nearly got one!

It is the player who made the difference - anticipation and finesse - the working mans Cantona - Gary Hooper!

Voted Hooper for the goals and great holding up, linking up and getting himself back in position to threaten the goal. But it was tight race with Bannan and Lee; but even more importantly, after a nervy start of the game, the team as a whole just dug in and everyone was fired up. Kind of like our 3-0 night v Arsenal; getting on every second ball. Passing the ball around Leeds until they were dizzy, maneuvering tight closed down areas then Bannan's cross opening up for new chances. Honourable mention to Wildsmith; really stepping up in Westwoods' absence! Was a joy to watch!

Fair comment.

 

Thought Lee was still a little off his usual pace today, and Hooper was involved in everything good we did.

Reckon we'll see a full-strength Lee after the break.
