Be careful what you wish for laddie.

I know what you're saying

But it's all getting a bit desperate now

Carlos is losing the plot and I can't see anything getting better with him in charge.

£2m a year and a double your money bonus to take us up

There will be a number of PL clubs willing to give him more than that up front, basically anyone in the bottom 3 come Christmas

Need someone with a promotion from this division on his CV. Someone that knows the division and how to succeed.

Correct me if I'm wrong but these managers have experience of getting out of this league:

Pardew

Pearson (if you don't ask, you don't get)

Karanka

Holloway

Allardyce

McCarthy

I know now some will take issue with those names but they got the job done.

Amazing thread this don't get me wrong I'm a fan from his barnstorming Bolton Days ...

But I've seen past threads when this guys name comes up and the red arrows come flying in

I wonder how many have posted them red  arrows are wishing he was our manager now?

I know there's a lot of six fingered Blackburners wishing he was still Manager of their club

Give Ryan Giggs his chance as a manager. No Premiership  team has taken a chance.

Good contacts and knows the value of speedy attacking football.

Fair enough, I just can't see him rushing in to a Championship job. I think for him to even listen the promotion bonus would have to be huge, plus a big transfer budget and unless we are just ignoring FFP thats not money we have.

Allerdyce reminds me of Dave Jones, arrogant and smarmy.

This is tired thinking.

It's got to the stage where Carlos is doing more harm than good imo.

He's retired from football, leaving behind a career of international and premier league football, what makes you think he can be tempted to the championship?

This. Our chairman seems to be running the club as a dictatorship. I'd love Sam to come but he wouldn't.

What proof have you got of that ?

I don't think we have more of that than the lower premier league teams.

Ok it wss maybe a bit of a cheap shot at Sam.

But I still think he'd come.

I think there's hundreds of coaches who'd come here.

Even some that she already in work.

A club that pulls in 20,000+ for home games.

Has a squad which should be able to make the tip 4.

And a Chairman who backs his manager.

That's tempting for any potential manager.

I'm not a Megson fan due to his type of footy, but I will acknowledge that he would not have put up with that load of tripe dished out on Sunday against the porkers. He would have had the players biting at the bit in the tunnel waiting to start the game. The players would have been organised at the back, and passion would have been evident for all to see from the players. Like I said, I'm no fan of his football style, but we would have beaten the porkers.

I don't think we've currently got the playing staff for Karanka and McCarthy. In the summer, I'd have said yes, as there could have been wheeling and dealing in the market.
