Living in that part of the world, would have thought you’d know it’s Teesside rather than Teeside?

I thought we were disjointed , jaded , and every other cliché , we didn't seem to have an answer or change of pace/ strategy except for a good spell up to the equaliser. Young Brooks for them looked fresh , lively and hungry.

Sure we've a similar lad waiting in the wings.

Maybe time to unleash some young blood.

Youth Brooks was stellar.

Yet our own Hirst can't and won't ever smell first team action...

Shows what can can be achieved when not sulking about money.

I didn't think it was a good game from Fletcher.

He looked like a salmon trying to get upstream to spawn, leaping about, no where near the ball, beaten in the air time and again.

I've ranted before about this so i apologise, but our players are pathetic.

This has been coming, and weeks off, we do not earn the right to play, we're soft,  we don't like running, we never  enforce our style of play against the opponents, we let them do what they want.

We play a perpetual cycle of pre season friendlies.  Utter garbage. Cowards, bottlers, n0bs, you disgraced yourselves today. Don't worry though  lads, you'll get 6th and 30k a week.

Well said mate, felt the same for a long time about this group or at least the way they are instructed to play.

Reach dribbling the ball straight out of play in a harmless situation just summed it up. Most played awful but thought he was really poor and only seems to ever have one pace, and seems to never show any emotion! Knew we'd miss Hutch today, and thought Jones was appauling and never impresses me.

It's really suprising this sort of wake up call defeat hasn't happened before. But it hasn't so we must be doing some things right?

He may need to track back then mate...Its the Championship...owt happens.....but by all mean shout the odds...we have been doing that all week...funny how things turn out...

Not shouting the odds mate, just answering your question.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest for us to get beat next Sunday but i can only comment on what I saw today. Obviously I don't see hunt every week but he performed poorly today. If I was our gaffer watching, he'd be the player I'd tell a pacy winger to get at.

Bannan was awful first 30, cought in possession constantly and miss placed passes. Picked up and was better towards the end of the half but awful at first. Was it down to tactics?? Him and Jones, though to be honest were overrun all the time, we had Wallace and of course Lee out of position stuck in no man's land, tucked in leaving reach and hunt exposed, yet not far enough inside to help Jones and Bannan out in a 3v2.  Wasn't it Bannans miss placed. Short pass without looking that led to their second goal??

We are weak, far too easily brushed aside and it's not just in this game, it's been happening for a while

I said this after the Hull playoff final but nothing has been done about it. The lack of pace is also a problem, again not resolved we have been without pace for years and to be successful you need pace and strength.

Bannan was crap today. As soon as he got booked after just10 minutes , he was tip-toeing around for the rest of the game trying not to get sent off. Both he and Jones were garbage.

The defence and Westwood looked like they'd never played together before. There was no midfield defending in front of a missing defence. There was no midfield supporting the strikers either.

Foook knows what that pillock gets them to do in training all week in preparation for big games. Can only assume they get together with a cup of tea to discuss the previous night's TV.

Bloody amateurish today. A shambolic, pathetic, performance lacking any bo**ocks whatsoever. Ashamed to be associated with the useless **nts today.

Other than that, it was ok. lol

The problem is we dont have a midfield enforcer, a real nasty git in the middle of the park . we are too nice

Sadly lacking in character and leadership on the pitch. No one shouting n snarling at team mates to up their game. Gonna be difficult to get over today if we don't remedy it soon.

A wily manager who knows what he's doing.

The experiences at Halifax and Oxford... He's learnt about the importance of getting the best out of the players at your disposal.

Clearly learnt the importance of having a collective that all sing off the same song sheet.

Most of all.....he puts round pegs in round holes....and when you do that you've always got a chance.

Clearly worked on the details.

He's had promotions at Oxford and Northampton in I think his first seasons in charge there. Made an immediate impact so I thought he'd do same at Pigs which he has.

We need to find someone like that who's had proper success in the lower leagues in English football not namby pamby leagues. It does translate to the higher leagues, getting success down there with average players can be just as tough.

Only Hooper came out of that game with any credit, he was superb as always, he never let his head drop, never hid and took his goal really well

My thoughts.  Hooper looked up for it.

Obvious cliche aside  it is a funny game. Better players win matches, our better players do enough running against Brentford etc and get away with it....but... hard work goes a long way too, look at the fa cup. You need both, no successful team ever didn't work hard.

Not advocating his return, but your literally describing Megson. Another method manager.

Carlos the exact opposite. Players have to fit his style. The thing is we're not Barcelona or Man City.

ALL clubs bar the top 10 in the world need methods to score. Carlos is clueless.

Atrocious showing from some today. There were players out there that simply did not want it.

Only Hooper can come out of that game with any credit. the likes of Lee, Lees, Jones, Wallace .. in fact the rest of em should hang their heads in shame if not be docked a percentage of their wages. Honestly, I've never seen a bad performance for many a year. and especially in a debt. Christ, that was bad. Humiliation.

Bannan was awful, but he wasn't the only one , poor tactics again by a manager that can't turn a game

But he did turn it didnt he, 0-2 and we got back to 2-2, after that it went downhill.

A lot of the money has been wasted on players who are either never fit or are not played because they don't fit Carlos style of play. I sometimes wonder who chooses who we buy. I don't think it's Carlos, why ?because if I'd spend money on Rhodes he would play every week. I think someone else is behind the buying of players whether carlos likes it or not.
