Not sure if i’m the only one that feels no confidence when we are awarded a penalty. Unsure if that’s because I’ve been conditioned to expect a let down as a Wednesday fan, because they come about so infrequently or because quite often we don’t have best spot kick taker taking pens. I dont know what the average is over a season for being awarded penalties, but we got a good number last year. If memory serves me right... Burton away - Hooper Wolves away - FF Udders away - FF Rotherham - Fletch Preston - Fletch all scored and the misses Brighton away - FF Leeds away - Rhodes So 7 pens in a season. Seems unusually high to me. Five given away from home too, when refs are usually reluctant. None in 8 matches so far. Lets hope we are due one.
