Ever the pessimist
4 games (3 in some cases) so any variables are magnified: 1st game of the season tends to be one of the higher attendances. Evening games generally lower. Televised also. Already had blades go on about how they got more in against Brentford (1st game back in the second tier for 6 years) than we did (midweek night in monsoon conditions). OwlofOliveGrove
Others tend to agree... Good job attendances mean f**k all when it comes to promotion eh.
Greengrass
I always look at away attendances to determine the 'size' of a club. For example we took more to Bolton on a Tuesday night for the Cococobana cup, than let's say S2 lot, who in fairness are on a decent run, you would have thought they would have taken more, but because we are older, bigger, better they didn't.
marshy
With our prices I think we're doing well to be up there. Be interesting to see the match day prices at the side.
Loughborough Owl
Glory pigs are obviously out in force. When they start losing games they'll crawl back under a rock where they came from.
WadsleyOwl
They're great figures for 2nd division football to be fair.
Guest Deleted member
Why would any club exaggerate their attendances? Suely that would lead to them paying more tax?
bradowl
Us having 2 midweek games out of 4 home games hasn't helped, Sunderland on a Saturday 3pm kick off would have been 30,000+ Forest being on sky probably knocked a thousand or two off attendance. Pigs have had 3 home games all Saturday 3pm kick offs of which 2 were against local sides Barnsley and Derby.

Guest ka58
It's no surprise - it's a fortune to go for a start and we've not done a lot to build up a core of young supporters over the years either. i would expect united will average more than us this year. Semedo's ferret
Said in July that we could be the second club in home attendance figures this season. Depending on utds results, and with our ridiculous pay on gate and general match day pricing structure, the attendance gap could close.

Kopparberg
Revenue is what counts. From a a people perspective though, averaging 25k people per game for Championship games is good going. Especially when we're all being milked to death.
