What? Shurely shome mishtake!

Recommended Posts

4 games (3 in some cases) so any variables are magnified: 1st game of the season tends to be one of the higher attendances. Evening games generally lower. Televised also.

Already had blades go on about how they got more in against Brentford (1st game back in the second tier for 6 years) than we did (midweek night in monsoon conditions).

I always look at away attendances to determine the 'size' of a club. For example we took more to Bolton on a Tuesday night for the Cococobana cup, than let's say S2 lot, who in fairness are on a decent run, you would have thought they would have taken more, but because we are older, bigger, better they didn't.

Us having 2 midweek games out of 4 home games hasn't helped, Sunderland on a Saturday 3pm kick off would have been 30,000+

Forest being on sky probably knocked a thousand or two off attendance.

Pigs have had 3 home games all Saturday 3pm kick offs of which 2 were against local sides Barnsley and Derby.

It's no surprise - it's a fortune to go for a start and we've not done a lot to build up a core of young supporters over the years either.

i would expect united will average more than us this year.
