I think Loovens (given his fitness issues) might well end up playing the same role within the squad that Semedo did last season. I'd be surprised, with Van Aken and Venancio's arrivals, if Loovens plays more than 15 games this season. Partly through Van Aken starting well, and partly because Loovens may be unavailable for quite a few of our games. He has proved me wrong before though. I thought last season he'd play much fewer games (with Hutch replacing him at CB) but he ended up being a rock yet again. I keep expecting him to slow down but he continues to play well.
