What an absolutely spiffing post, old boy.

You have certainly done your homework.

I have drunk the water from "Little johns well" as a boy. Something that is now no longer possible, due to nearby quarrying.

Plenty of "evidence " to show that

ROBIN HOOD WAS A YORKSHIREMAN.

"Drunk the water from little John's well"

That sounds like the male alternative to the lady "Drinking from the Furry cup"

                                  WTF:

An OMDT and a history lesson combined!!!

A rollicking tale indeed of our lost historical hero and brethren.

I'm sure Loxley would have been an Owl, as the wonderful bird of prey would have shared his woody residence!

Come on Wednesday - give us a performance he would have been proud of!!!

A very enjoyable read, well done mate let's hope we can celebrate by sending our arrows straight into the net and get Forrest to bow down to us.

I think any two of our three fit wingers are a much better bet than Bannan. We nearly always lose all shape when Carlos picks three CMs.

Isn't that more when he stuck them in a rigid four and basically asked Bannan to play as a left winger and his tendencies to drift in all the time caused all the problems.

Think the Butterfield signing will see us play with the diamond in midfield even more now at home and the natural width will come from the full backs.

What I hope we see.

With Hutchinson and Lee replacing Jones and Wallace long term.

When I was a history stude in 1989 at Leeds University we had a lecture on Robin Hood Studies by the then expert. He had Robin down as a South Yorkshire man certainly. Used to hang out around Worksop and the A1 Worksop Rotherham Sheffield (A57) road area.

My greatest Forest memory was our 1-0 win at the City Ground, in our green hooped away shirt which was one of only two wins in that shirt (the other being I think Coventry and I saw that too).

It was raining and the Wednesday sang Always look on the bright side of life for the first time. Before that team from Manchester who we were to beat at Wembley two years later claimed it or tried to as their own but it wasn't.

2-1 today.
