Akpo was a top quality striker, criminally underrated by many just like Nuhiu. I wouldn't have been against putting him on the 150th anniversary Dream Scene.

Yeah the club missed a trick by not having a medical table at Ponds Forge for all of the players that fleeced the club spending most of their time on that instead of the pitch.

Honestly believe Akpo would have played for England had he not been so unfortunate with injuries.

He was class when he got going, no real technique but he didn't need it. The Burnley game where he outmuscled them all to score twice in ten minutes and then went off injured for the season just summed him up.
