Not sure about validity of these rumours, but what would we think of a Villas-Boas appointment? But seen it reported several news sites now.

it would be great, but sadly there is more chance of Jacob Butterfield actually showing more than 50% effort, which is highley unlikely

Wolves are eyeing a potential move for Norwich City striker Nelson Oliveira, according to reports.

The Portuguese international is experienced at the Championship level, and given the Canaries' current league position - could look for a route into the Premier League with Nuno's side currently topping the table.

Wolves are known to be in the hunt for a striker, and the 26-year-old could fit the bill. He's also a client of Jorge Mendes' Gestifute agency.

Meanwhile, Kortney Hause could be one man set to leave Molineux this month, with Premier League duo Huddersfield and Watford reportedly interested in the defender.

Hause has struggled to break into the starting XI under Nuno, but did put in a memorable performance against Manchester City in the EFL Cup.

Reports suggest that a price tag of £2.5m could be enough to sway Wolves into a sale.

The Daily Mail are today linking Wolves with a move for Ghana international Daniel Opare.

The Augsburg full-back is out-of-contract in the summer and could spark a £3m transfer scramble in January.

The 27-year-old is also a target for Stoke City, Leicester, West Ham and Swansea.

There was a Yorkshire Post article this morning summarising all the reported links between our local clubs and player targets. We were the only local side not being linked with anyone.

Shouldn’t be a surprise really, you’d expect any new manager to be appointed first, then for him to have an input.

The real speculation should be, when in January do we think that we might start considering player recruitment or the offloading of players (new manager will also want to have a look at his squad before deciding who can go).

We might be looking at making the best of what we have. Time could run out on us. Hopefully the new manager will have motivational flair.

The clock is ticking....

10 days since CC left with no appointment.

Obviously this means we don't have any clear performance strategy, no clear footballing philosophy, no progression / succession plan, no official assessment on current squad, no clear January targets, no leadership...etc. etc.

The longer we wait the more we will fall behind other teams and end up with some over paid, underperforming dross....oh, hang on....

No point - we don't bother with the youth players. Sic

McGugan released by Northampton, could he do a job for us? lol

I don’t want him back but it’s foooking sickening that he was cast aside while we still have the likes of Butterfield and Jones in midfield.

FFS.
