@owlstalk
Overall the usual mental approach to sloshing money around but hey... the fans pay for Sky TV etc so the money is there to spend for sure As for the Championship I think it's been one of the busiest transfer windows and most definitely the most rumours I've seen in a long time Owlstalk Shop

Not from Leeds anyways so probably couldn't enter that, no idea
TheSlicer
Interestingly it's just been on sky sports news saying that historically clubs generally spend 30% of their revenue on player transfers. And this window has been exactly the same with transfers coming in at the 30% mark. So yes the figures are ridiculous. But according to the bloke on SSN, these figures are sustainable while ever the revenue continues to be the same. And with the new TV deal coming next year, these could potentially go up. TheSlicer
To answer your question, or part of it. We have got rid of a very good attacking option in Sam Winnall, but haven't weekend our attacking options in the grand scheme of things. We may not have added the players we wanted or filled the positions we wanted. But we certainly aren't weaker than we was. So that has to be a positive. The Winnall/Butterfield deal is a strange one on face value, but having had time to muse - it is a loan deal both ways, which gives both clubs chance to assess. We replace a guy not getting on the bench with somebody who will likely go straight in to the squad. All in all if I was grading our TW - it is a C+, but need time to assess the new CHs. The main thing the winnall move does , is create a bit more clarity about who plays up front, even if it only takes one out of the equation, it goes some part to settling it. The centre backs?...One would have been enough in my opinion. Sasso should have been offered a new contract if he had wanted one, I thought he was improving, the only centre half who carried it forward occasionally. Feel a bit sorry for Winnall, none of us know the exact ins and outs of the training ground spat

Cjay
So if somebody said you could have top 6 now would you take it? Or are you confident that this year on year progression will continue and you will get top 2?

Freshfish
Important season but ...I know some folk will seeth at this...but after watching the Premier League games this season in comparison to what the Championship has consistently delivered ...how bloody boring and rubbish is it. Most clubs will be also rans and touch a player and they go down like they been dropped by a sniper. I love the Championship. I love the different types of games we get and I even like the dour, ugly wins and draws. Stupid, obscene money in the Premier League and Europe. Just can't get my head around it.
