McGugan - GONE

Recommended Posts

Guest BULGARIA

Sheffield Wednesday would like to thank Lewis for his services and wish him well for the future.....

Roughly translated...

Thank goodness we have got rid of Lewis, and we hope that the huge payoff we have given him is lost in the nearest casino asap.

It's a shame it never worked as I was dead excited when he signed and I don't think he did too badly.

But I'm glad we have drawn a line under this, presumably we will have reached an agreement that saves us some money and him some time (or allows him to move on a free).

Should hopefully free up some wage space but it will depend if we have had to pay him off!

Doom reckons that we're after a CM, so I guess it's one out and one in.

Yes, it's not so long since Owls fans were "enjoying themselves" when he signed. Good player. Certainly better than Baz was last season. If your face doesn't fit...

I said at the time that he signed that we needed to look at better. He stood out in a very average side the season before. He was nowhere near to getting into the Watford team that got promoted and if we had ambitions of going up then we needed to be looking at better.

I'm not Bannans biggest fan but he offers far more than McGugan ever did.

Baz at his best, definitely. But I'd have given McGugan a chance when Baz was off colour.
