It makes sense for Palace to allow him out, just to get games. No chance. They'd have lost a potentially valuable asset, for nothing. The wage contribution will only be dictated by other clubs bidding against each other in my opinion. Palace will just be desperate for Wickham to get out, play a good number of games and prove himself as a top Championship striker. In the hope, that cum the summer, that form will have him as a much sought after commodity that clubs will be willing to pay a decent wedge for. Remember, Palace paid £9m for Wickham...they'll be seeking to get as much of that back as possible. Squabbling over wage contributions won't be high on their priorities (although of course, they'll seek as higher contribution as possible). (Didn't realise this thread was from two years ago!) We should be a selling club and act quickly to bring in the next player. Brentford do this all the time and it’s driven them up the league over many seasons. we've done it with Joao and we should do it with the rest of them. If we sell we have to cough the remainder, we ain't going to recoop the the same amount if we sell so it#ll go down instantly as a - on the accounts. Only plus is if we ship his entire wages off the bill but chances are we'll have to sub that as well. Are we in a position to take the hit now? or spread it out.
