frastheowl Posted August 26, 2017 Share Posted August 26, 2017 Another exceptionally slow, sloppy start. Gave Burton far much space, and they had three good opportunities within the first 25 minutes. But, as the half went on, Hooper began to find space in between the lines, and we started to look really threatening on the break. The goal was a superb piece of skill from Hooper, but he started it from picking the ball inside our half. Couple of other really well worked pieces of play, both involving Boyd. He scored a brilliant goal from a Reach cross, but was given (harshly?) offside. And missed a one on one with Bywater, after Hooper had slipped him in (again, he was given offside...tight again). We're doing alright, but we need a second goal to settle it. Next goal is crucial...it could be an uncomfortable 2nd period if Burton get it.
