V. SETÚBAL EMPRESTA FREDERICO VENÂNCIO AO SHEFFIELD DE CARLOS CARVALHAL

Recommended Posts

Well.

It's a big welcome from me.

Because whether I've heard of him or not is irrelevant.

He's a much needed defensive addition and will be getting 100% backing on the pitch from me while he's here.

Playing in England was an ambition long ago manifested by Frederico Venâncio

To be fair we've waited a long time for someone who's ambition was manifested.

Welcome Federico, you are the 201st best defender in our opinion that we could've signed this summer.

Probably so if he's crap we aren't stuck with him for 4 years paying his wages.

Think it's more about whether he adjusts as opposed to him being gash!!

Too late, his agent has translated this thread and advised him against the move.

Sasso wasn't a bad squad player, would certainly have got game time this season. This guy has played more regular football than Sasso.

The problem is that although sasso was a decent squad player he was far weaker than Lee's and loovens.

This season we need strength in depth

He seems to have decent pace for a centre back, can attack a ball from set pieces and is decently young, could be a good bit of business.

Is he really going to be any better than Sasso?

Wonder why it's a loan and not full transfer

Think it's best for everyone

He's wanted to play in England but is unproven so a Loan suits both him and us, if it doesn't work out he can go back.

Vitoria tied him to a 3 year contract so if all goes well they'll probably get an alright fee for him.

As long as he's better than Pudil that's the priority right now.

Before everyone starts getting a major sad on about this ...  Derby Leeds and Fulham were after him not long ago

and he was Vitoria Setubal captain, so he's got summat about him

Didn't Leeds sign Pontus Jansson on loan before they brought him.

Could be a superstar that's all I am saying.

He seems to be more highly rated in Portugal and a more consistent starter than Sasso was.

In the tackle maybe but I always thought hi, the best and quickest distributor of the ball of the three.

Not that it matters much now he's gone...

As if people's already comparing hi to Sasso lol

This guys already played about 80 games more than Sasso had at 24 years old and has captained his side.
