Great news - we've never had one failure with Portugese players...

Great stuff. Absolutely the right thing to go for an unknown Portuguese player. Particularly with all the success we've had with the previous ones.

Quite right. I'm sure you'd rather be moaning about how we hadn't got anyone in at all and this rather spoils it!

Great to see him welcomed in.

He may not be a well known name but he has been a regular for Vitoria for the last 4 seasons or so.

DC said we were looking for a squad player as well as a starter.

Unfortunately everyone knows our dire need in this position and every man and his dog and every Championship club knows that after Saturday our need got greater. The price for any centre-back we were looking for will have now gone through the roof, this at least gives us a bit of time and an actual centre-back.

It is poor planning and negotiating that has left us in this place but at least give this guy a chance if he is coming to us.
