simple solution

Bench him.

or leave him out completely

let our proper strikers show that we don't need him,

They do Andy. Time and time again. Our record with two proper strikers is so much better than with FF+1 that it makes me weep when Carlos yet again goes back to Fessi.

Hirsty would have pinned FF to the dressing room wall by the throat.

No player is bigger than the team.

Sick of walking on eggs with so called star players.

Sick of the negative approach to games we saw all too often last season.

Only if Palmer hadn't got there first! Can you imagine how proper managers like Big Ron or Wilko would have deal with this? WTF: They certainly wouldn't have gone to the press, that's for sure.

There's something seriously wrong with this bunch of players and staff. They don't seem to be a tight knit group..and these incidents will only cause more division within the group surely. How are other players going to react to one player dictating the manager and throwing his toys out the pram every five minutes.

Not good. Worrying times.

Unfortunately that was a different age when football was played by proper men.

the modern players simply would not do that kind of thing. Too many pampered prima donnas

With big players comes big egos.

Someone has to keep them (FF) in check while getting the best out of them.

It's a tough job only a few are good at.

Very true - can you imagine the grief Conte got/gets from the likes of Hazard, Costa, Fabregas and co?  I'm sure this isn't a special case - just happens to be one that the manager has stupidly put into the public domain.

Makes me wonder whether Carlos simply doesn't have the ability to manage these kind of players.

I think CC's words are being misinterpreted.

CC says that he asked FF why he didn't play well in preseason and FF told him why. Nowhere in Howson's report does it say that FF demanded to play upfront.

CC has sought FF's opinion, considered it and acted upon it that's all

FF hasn't demanded to play up front. He said tracking back affects his attacking play, so he prefers to play up front. Read the article.

You're missing the bigger point.

We know what he's like - if he doesn't play up front he'll get in a strop.

He'll then not perform

He'll then want a transfer

It'll be a right mess.

It already bloody is

Are we going to bench or outcast every player in the squad that Carlos falls out with? Are we going to frustrate almost every player in the squad by either playing them out of position or not playing them at all or not allowing them to leave? This is becoming farcical. Players bought that don't suit how we play; players unhappy or frustrated at being played out of position or not being played at all, players wanting to quit football altogether, players on big wages not playing and unable to leave, players on big wages and in their thirties. Negativity and frustration among the players and fan base breeding from negative tactics, unbalanced set up and ditching of the stripes.

Seriously Carlos and/or Chansiri need to take a hold of the situation or all these minor issues, negativity and frustration could escalate into something much more serious. We can't afford to outcast numerous players or let players run down big wages and contracts, we can't afford to continue all this negativity on and off the pitch. Something needs to be done, to sort it. We need a return to the more attacking approach or we need changes in players or the head coach before it turns into a crisis.
