Team v QPR (forget Chessie)

Recommended Posts

Will never happen but I'd go;

Westwood

Hunt

Lees

Hutch

Reach

FF

Bannan

Lee

Wallace

Rhodes

Winnall

Could easily swap Boyd for Wallace or Hooper for Winnall but i never understand why Winnall doesn't start because he always does a job for me. Sounded like Wallace was better than the majority when he came on hence why I'd throw him back in.

Why do people keep saying to play reach at lb?? the guy is too weak, carnt challenge for a ball .

Because we have 3 choices.

Pudil - too slow by far.

Fox - one day good, next day dreadful

Reach - nowhere near perfect, but learning the role, steady, great engine, fast.

Reach aint a left back for me,  can't tackle for a start

How on earth is Hutch getting in so many teams? Absolutely atrocious today.

Agree, terrible, him and Bannan won't score 5 goals between em if they played all 46 games. This is one of our major problems, apart from a fit Lee our midfielders rarely score.

Westwood

Hunt

Pudil

Lees

Loovens

Wallace

Lee (if fit)

Bannan

Boyed

Forestieri

Fletcher

Team v Chessie

Dawson

Palmer

Fox

OGrady

Lees

Wallace

Abdi

Jones

Penney

Hirst

Winnall

You really think Pudil or Fox are better bets for the season?

Yes,   Have you seen Reach win a tackle ?

Irrespective of which team he selects, Carlos needs to inject some positive play into the side on Saturday.

If it's a dirge of a nil-nil at HT, or God forbid nil-one, the ground will not be kind to him, and sadly that rubs off onto the players, which is a vicious circle.

I watched Reach in the games he played LB. He was ok. Nothing more, nothing less.

However, in all but one we played either Abdi or Bannan wide. He played with FF wide only once, Forest at home. We were far from wonderful, but we won. I think their energy could be a superb thing for our side played down the left most of the season.

As for winning tackles, I'm sure he did.

But again, Pudil will let far more crosses come in from his side than Reach will.

Well this is my team.

                                  Winnall

Fernando                                                   Boyd

                   Bannan                  Wallace

                               Hutchinson

Reach         Loovens             Lees           Hunt

                                Westwood.

Bit attack minded of course . But that's what the game used to be about. I want to see players with movement and a willingness to race into space.

In reality it'll be this.

                 Fletcher      Fernando

 Reach        Bannan     Hutchinson     Boyd

 Pudil          Loovens         Lees           Palmer

                          Westwood

As changing the odd full back or striker around seems to be the only tactical thing we do.

It's catching is'nt it, this is part of the problem at the club, unprofessionalism, every game must be taken seriously.

Play yout strongest side and worry about injuries when they happen, we played over 60 games and did the double in 1991.

Need some athleticism on that left side. Reach/Boyd can give us that.

Need some pace up front- Joao can give us that.

Need Forestieri in the side at home.

Wallace needs to play- done more positive things over a consistent period than the rest of the wide midfielders we've tried.

Be the same again unless Lee is fit then we will see a midfield of Bannan, Hutchinson, Lee and Boyd.

Our fullbacks are our worst players so I'd love to see Carlos go with a back 3 (as if that'll happen)...

                           Westwood

             Lees       Loovens    Pudil

                      Lee           Hutch

          Boyd            Abdi        Fernando

                    Rhodes   Fletcher

Just pick roughly our XI best players in a fluid formation and don't over complicate things.

After that disaster v Preston what's the worst that can happen?

When I saw the lineup today I despaired I expected the performance if not necessarily the result

if lee isn't available we must play abdi and if he plays well he should stay in FF should play wide left and we should play two proper out and out strikers I would go

westwood

hunt

lees

hutch

reach

boyd

abdi

jones

FF

hooper

fletcher

i would have Rhodes winnall Wallace palmer loovens bannan and wildsmith on the bench

carlos needs to go for it for his and our sake
