I think many were supporting our excellent Chairman who has invested heavily into the club but who has also been an excellent figurehead at the club, communicating with supporters and developing a feeling of trust and respect unlike so many other foreign owners. Every time we have a minute's silence for a supporter or former player who has passed away, it's not because we know them personally but out of respect and also to support those whose lives have been impacted. To actually use the argument you have suggests a certain lack of sensibility and IMO is distasteful.

However being as it's our 150th anniversary I think our home and away kits should be based upon our past kits but be more retro looking and not just modern updates of our past shirts that don't really honour the club's history or traditions. She's done 38 shirts, together with 26 pairs of wool shorts. The felt numbers on the back may well come off in the wash, and I'm not sure the fur lined collars will be popular. I'd question the wisdom behind this decision, Doris actually knitted me my first car back in the day, it ran like a dream until I took it through the £1 car wash down at Pitsmore, long story short I had to walk home with the car in a coop carrier bag......All I'm saying is I hope she's stitched washing instructions in or it could easily go boobies up.
