Last night was a MASSIVE disappointment, whichever way you try to spin it. 10/10 for effort though.

ChinaOwl
The main cause for optimism is probably that last night formed the death knell for the turgid, safety first brand of football this season and next season, a more open, flowing and positive style of play will emerge from a team that contains so many attack minded players. themaskedowl
Ok. Looking on the bright side. We missed two penalties but none of our attempts were launched into low earth orbit.
TrueOwl
Marco Matias is finally fit just in time for pre-season. If he scores another worldie against dem lot all will be forgiven.

ArmchairOwl
We get another season of being good in the championship, rather than being bobbar in the prem.
Dazblur
Pattern emerges that we are the next Brighton, back-to-back playoff misery followed by comfortable 2nd spot, Dust settles we get back on it, This time next year we are ribbing blunts and feet up waiting for Prem fixtures, Gap remerges with vengeance I am a right doom merchant at best but what has just gone wasn't a shock or surprise just really, really painful and one what takes a little while to set in, This season has been a long one - Reason to take the time to reset ourselves for part 3, Like I say if patterns do emerge then a 3rd crack at it isn't owt to fear, Much love see yer in July/Aug,
GoldGigsChris
Without the ManU groupies next season, we'll have more Saturday 3:00pm kick-offs, it'll be easier to park, they'll be more chance of getting a pint at half-time and the drive home will be easier. WalthamOwl
I wonder what DC would say if you asked him what league he would rather be in. I admire the attempt to be positive but saying you would rather be in the Championship than the Premiership is crazy talk. Would love to see us test ourselves against some of the best players in the league, people like Hazard, Sanchez, Zlatan, Aguero gracing the Hillsborough turf would be amazing. jayzman
Me, myself, I'm not bothered about missing out on promotion - I like seeing us compete at the top end in a division that isn't up its own arse and has pretty sensible kick-offs, allocations, fans and I can get tickets for away games. For my two lads, who are 19 & 16 but haven't seen us in the Prem, I'm devastated.
