I don't see 'scoring loads of goals' and 'keeping things tight' as mutually exclusive either. I'm sure we can keep our defence in order whilst playing a more dynamic style of football. My point was the goal difference between 10 9 and 1 0 is the same but going for it more often would probably lead to more conceded goals more often tipping the balance against us so more losses. acquiescefc Posted May 18, 2017 Share Posted May 18, 2017 I'm sure you mean well but I'm sorry you are wrong. It's hard to 'be the 12th man' when the 11 on the pitch are getting turned inside out. We had momentum for a brief period at 1-0 but apart from that we were pîssing in the wind. We couldn't make any second balls count and watching a team play like Barcelona running rings around us, that cost as much as Rotherham, is hard to stomach. I think you'll find that in 2nd half Hudders went more attacking even before our goal. They opened us up the same way several times and we were only defending because we had no means to attack. BUT, the team has to help create a better atmosphere throughout the game - it's difficult to match the Brighton atmosphere when your team seems to be going through the motions and being too defensive at home.
