Huddersfield Town vs The Owls. Official Matchday Thread.

Well, I suppose we can look back and say job done. But Jeez I did not enjoy that. We lived too dangerously at times for my liking.

If there's a positive for me, it's that Huddersfield couldn't convert all their possession, shots and corners into goals.

We need to improve on Wednesday night, though.

I will reiterate we need to do exactly what Huddersfield fans have done x10 boo every tackle and every decision against us. We rely need to be the 12th man. Let's make this inpossible for them and make them feel it. Particularly when they dive. Let's make it difficult and noisy even if we are not doing well. Come on one and all.

Well that was one of our worst performances of the season, having said that we defended well and I'd have taken that before the game started......All to play for on Wednesday night now and at home with the crowd behind us surely has to make us the favourites

Not the worst result but would have prefered to have a 1 goal advantage.

I think Carlos' job goes on the line in the 2nd leg.

Might sound harsh but with the approach he's clearly taken to that first leg and the undoubted superior quality in our squad to theirs; I think it's must win for him.

And I think we will.  And then win at Wembley.

But just sayin...

You can't be down about that, it's half time. A very professional performance. The team set up, the yellows, everything except a sneaky goal on the break.

Do Hudderfield know how to play a defensive game?

On Wednesday they will need to attack, but they will play right into Carlos's plan. We have them right where we want them.

Pudil and Hunt both made some important challenges today but also got caught inside at least twice each. Really frustrating as it's been happening all season.

Winnall looked very hungry when he came on, I thought. Props to Fletcher for a real chugger's effort, never stopped despite feeding off crumbs, never mind scraps. Bannan had a decent game but needs to sit less deep at Hillsborough. Westwood, Lees and Loovens excellent again.

Happy with 0-0 but that was a poor performance in my opinion.  Has to be much better in the second leg.  Not one shot on target!!

Not 1st time we have been as bad as that try Preston away didn't have a single shot corner cross till we got 9th min equaliser. But 0-0 I'd have took without doubt before game just lucky we are playing a team 17th in form table and not Brighton away .
