Personally I rate him higher than Rhodes, I think he works harder but it's because of the price tag and reputation forces Carlos to give Rhodes the nod, I really like him as a player and would like to see him play but Carlos knows as this stage of the season changing the team too much is idiotic

Working hard isn't enough. We would all work hard if given the chance but it wouldn't mask our inability to fit in.

In a perfect world the lad should never be anywhere near a starting slot for us. In the pecking order of options he probably sits next to big Dave. Was clearly a panic buy given striker issues at the time and also probably shows the Rhodes deal didn't look likely until near the deadline.

Yeah. Barnsleys top scorer with 11 goals at the time was 'a panic buy'.

For 600k he was an absolute steal and unbelievable bit of business

We have three better strikers in Hooper, Rhodes and Fletcher, so with six matches left he is not going to start this season unless we hit a big injury problem.

No sense in having 3 strikers on the bench. Nuhiu offers the Plan B or C, but Winnall doesn't offer a significant alternative.

We also have the luxury of FF who can switch from left to striker.

Friend of mine is a Barnsley ST holder. Said when we bought Winnall that if we gave him the frequency and quality of service he got from Hourihane he would score plenty.... we all know the rest!

Winnall gives us a good option but is not first choice. Compared to the others he isn't as gifter as a footballer but will give his all; if we need a terrier to peg it around for 45 mins then he's your man.

He's like a better Luke Varney

Between Rhodes and Winnall there is nothing in it from their performances.

Rhodes getting nod on price tag.

not sure about it being tactical, but you have to feel for him. Signs for us, takes a bit of stick his old mates, we then sign a striker for 20 x his price and Fletcher starts scoring. Not to mention us returning to the big lad for the last 15 minutes of games.

He likely knew the score. It's the price to pay to get to the premier league for all parties.

Hes had a few games whilst others sat out and vice versa. It becomes more common the higher you go

Winnall has looked more likely to score. Whereas Rhodes has been linking play well. Not sure what that is saying about our use of Rhodes

was a joke that winnall was not included at wkd , yes nuhiu did a job against Cardiff ,but against qpr he didn't win anything if fact he was embarrassing bad as usual we ended up going backwards instead of finishing them off on break and a player like winnall would be a much better option, you cant sign a player give him 18k a week scores against Barnsley then cast him off.

Nah.

Rhodes' quality is obvious. Winnall's isn't (yet?).

But in terms of goals, neither has cracked it here yet, so you have to chose between the two you and would always chose the one who has scored at this level for 7 years, not one who had done it for half a season.

Don't bother trying to convince him Rhodes has obviously shagged his wife.

I see Jordan walking his dogs every day with his dad. Good looking fella. The local ladies seem very happy he has moved in.

Precisely the same thing with Morgan Fox, think he's been great at left back and saved us clearing  off the line numerous games including Barnsley, he was on press duty for the build up to the Rotherham game and wasn't  even been on the bench for the game or since, pretty sure I've not heard about him being injured either .
