Sure did but Carlos made the right choice again.

Don't know about that. We were on top and it took momentum out of the game, we still won granted but bringing Semedo on with 20 minutes left in my opinion was madness.

Despite the fact that it worked.

You can give the manager credit.

It's not that hard.

where did i say that ?

fyi i left when the last player left the pitch, i walked round from the south stand and up penistone road/halifax road to where i park, near the gym

I only saw him cos someone pointed him out to his mate as i passed them, i was at burgerking when i saw him, so im guessing that it was a good 20/30 mins after the final whistle,

hardly leaving before the end was he ?

All the credit for the Fletcher-Hooper pairing, and using Sasso.

I think Semedo over FF was pushing it, just a bit.

I think at 2-0 and FF coming back from injury, Carlos must have been thinking he should hold him back to ensure he is 100% fit.

Wouldn't surprise me if Carlos leaves him on the bench Friday. I think FF will react very positively. He should be like a caged tiger when he finally gets unleashed.

I think bringing Semedo on caused a momentum shift that left us hanging by a thread - from a fairly comfortable position

But we won so thats that

I do think if we'd brought FF on at that time with the wind at our backs as it was then - we'd have cantered to victory

But we'll never now and whatever CC did caused us to win the game

Can't criticise him for that

My take as well.

But 3 points are beautiful 3 points and I'm in no position to take real umbrage with the tactics-subs.

I'd have to agree with that but if we'd not won that game from where we were when Semedo came on, there would have been only one place to lay the blame. It was a poor substitution that left us, from a comfortable position, hanging on for the last 15-20 minutes, and hardly getting out of our own half. The best place to ride out the game is not in your own half of the field.

This. I'd have bought Forestieri on, but Carlos went for Semedo and it got us the result. Job done.

For me it didn't work, we got away with it. I'm not one for getting on Managers or players backs but it was a bizarre thing to do, the whole mood of the game changed, stadium went a lot quieter as soon as he came on, there was 20 minutes left and it put us under pressure. Just my opinion.

You must have been at a differant stadium than me. I wasnn't bizzare, Wallace was playing in a central position, when he went off we had to fill that position FF can't play that role Semedo can and did. We won what's the problem.
