A Dry Oakwell

Probably scared you're a pack of ******* like them lot from the west. As soon as you step into Oakwell tomorrow Barnsley Football Club have duty of care, they have to try to make sure that the idiots you bring with you don't put any of you in danger, climbing the metal work under the ground, setting things on fire and throwing them around, as well as people being soaking in ale, if these things happen the club need to prove they did everything possible to avoid it happening.

Was told earlier this week that the reduction of tickets and the alcohol rule entirely down to 'concourse culture' - as seen at Barnsley when Leeds and Huddersfield visited. Lots of damage, lots of problems with crushing as fans all made their way to the gangways to get to seats at the same time just before kick off and at half time.

I'm sure none of this will deter our own fans from creating their own 'concourse culture'....

Its cheap if you don't buy a pint though.

Just stand there with head up and your mouth open. You can get potentially 10 pints free at half time.

Just to make it clear, this was SYP advice. Blame them.

As for the reduced amount of tickets, that's untrue. You were allocated 5,200 same as Leeds. But your club dictate how many they sell to 'normal' fans. In other words, a couple of hundred to players to do with as they please (you have a lot of players) and the rest are comps to sponsors et al. We gave Newcastle the full allocation of 5,570. The reason you and Leeds get slightly less is due to SYP and their advice.

The club would love to serve ale and fill the away end. It's money. But it is what it is.

Is that right that pay on the day is £38 Mate? And advanced is £36? For Barnsley fans that is.

I know we have been lambasted for prices but that seems abit high for your club for a A+ game?
