S36 OWL
My uncle used to lift me over the turnstiles when i started going in the late 60`s so i got in for nowt. Many, many young kids got in the same way back then . In the modern day there is a local team who`s fans have found a clever way of getting in for next to nowt. They all buy kids tickets . owl-zat
With Wednesday having no game one week I went to Curzon Ashton to tick off a new ground. I arrived and walked up to the ground about 1pm where there was a kids training session on a 5-a-side pitch next to the stadium. We asked this guy where we could get something to eat and drink and he pointed us to this door where all the kids were also going in and out of so we went in and found ourselves in the stadium and onto the terraces. Feeling guilty I spent my admission fee on a programme, raffle ticket, beers and a pie :-/

one day
Back in the day when turnstiles weren't as sophisticated I used to squeeze up to my mate as he paid (just for himself) and then as soon as you got through the other side did a runner. Only at away games I hasten to add.
Lee A
Mate of mine bought a ticket from another fan outside Deepdale He gave him £15 and somehow got a 20 note back, so ended up getting paid to watch the game.
prowl
I lived on Penistone Road as a kid. My best mate and I used to go to Hillsborough when there was a match on and wait until they opened the gates to let people out. They usually did that about 15 minutes before the end so we got to watch the last quarter of an hour for free.

Big Ron's Sovereign
70s I was a young lad and if you were small enough the turnstile bloke would just let me through when my Dad paid. Still happened in the 80s but I had to bob down a bit
poite
I always get in for free. When I arrive I just head to the players entrance and tell them my name is Mr Melo.
dewsburyowl58
Climbed over a fence at Oakwell twice !! Used to get the x33 to Sheffield the footie special to Hillsborough then just after kick off climb over the wall by the toilets on the kop next to the South I was 14 and had little money, just enough to get me there n back !! . Years later used to get freebies off a player now that's luxury for you !!
