1 Wednesday legend for the run in

Recommended Posts

Chris Waddle. He was brilliant for creating chances out of nothing and great for killing time (in a skilful way) when you were winning. He had a great habit of making the opposites look stupid at times. Would create loads for our strikers.

Didn't think I'd be saying this with some of the talent we've had at the club but Carlton Palmer for me too. The likes of Waddle and Di Canio were class but a player like Palmer seemed to inspire others around him in a similar way to that of Hutchinson. So basically to have a player who not only plays well but lifts those around him is a no brainer.

Yes Torry ... I'm not far behind you with TC the wee Scot..

Ron Springett and Roland Neisson also come to mind,

but I certainly remember at Wembley last year how

I thought with our little laddies in midfield how desperately we needed

Carlton Palmer ... who with just two strides could could get from one penalty area to the other.

We had an ideal replacement in Ian Taylor, until we foolishly traded him away.

Absolutely. We'll never know but this could have made a big difference to how things turned out for us and Francis in particular.

swapped for a short term fix up front.
