matthefish2002
To me its all to do with money. Ticket prices keep going up much more then inflation, reported wages of players go up sharply each year so its slightly inevitable that fans are more demanding. Although I agree some go OTT. doubleo
You can't excuse booing one of our own, or even booing at a substitution that's made, but the fact is - last season we finished 6th playing attractive football. Now we've spent (well Mr C has spent) a lot of money on transfer fees and wages and brought in a lot of good players - result we may hold on to 6th playing not only boring football but also UNCONVINCING football. Remember George Grahams Arsenal - boring but go a goal down and you may as well go home - solid as a rock. I'd rather us be like Kevin Keegans Newcastle "the entertainers" , 3-2 every week, not sure win or lose but exciting. I'd settle for being bored for 85 minutes if we were in the top 2 and it was working, but being bored and no better than last season despite have a raft of better players in the squad is why fans are frustrated. Ofcourse Carlos could have a plan, and this could be preparing us for life in the Premiership.............................
