We could carry on buying and buying but if CC can't get them to play as a team wouldn't matter who we bought. Neither team on that display is good enough. DobbinTheDonkey Posted February 25, 2017 Share Posted February 25, 2017 Having widemen that have to come inside all the time kills momentum, they either have to wait for that yard of space to cross or wait for the fullback to overlap and with our fullbacks usually fail to provide a good cross. We don't even switch to try and alternate things, just meander on playing percentage football hoping something comes off. The delivery is woeful, no matter who takes it. 50 attempts to put a good ball in the box. Forget a proffessional footballer. Sunday league football has a higher expectation of a final ball than that. We seem to have got the steel we were missing at important times last season. But we've lost everything that made us great last season. We've lost the tempo, the forward threat, the confidence. We look like underdogs against every team we play. We set up to counter teams, that come to Hillsborough happy for a draw. We go away, and we set up like we are happy for a draw, even when we are losing, no change is made until the last 15 to get men forward. Carlos is the right man to take us up.
