I was on a bus that went past Hillsborough, aged 10, and saw all these weired  people holding giant canaries ...

Definitely at a football match for me.

 

Remember thinking whats this football crowd doing at a football match ?

 

Surreal experience.

Walking out on the North Stand in 96, Wednesday top of the Premier League Vs Chelsea we lost 2-0 but there where some amazing players on the field that day.

Depends what you mean by a crowd, but two or three hundred at Frickley athletic seemed a big crowd to me , when I was a "Little Lad !"

First game I took my wife to and I paid good money to get her in the Southern Stand - She left Hillsborough a Chelsea fan. Weirdly, we're still married.

Cup match at Burton Agnes. There were at least  12 people, 2 labradors and a cortina in attendence

September 1966 at home to West Ham.....as a 10 year old, I was gob smacked by the crowd but I loved it!!

 

Only a few years ago I found out that World cup winners Moore, Hurst & Peters were playing for West Ham that day. 

 

We lost 2-0 but I was hooked.

least she's not exactly a glory chaser seen as she started when they were just an okay team.

Living in Africa (Kenya) at the time and saw a picture of the crowd, covered in snow, on the front page of the Green 'In, which had been sent out to us by a family member. 1957/58.

Surprise that bus still has its wheels after it had been through Parson Cross

Was in Sheffield city centre aged 10.......told there was a match that day......follow the crowds of people I was told.......ended up in Debenhams...............week later saw Hillsborough and a proper crowd & match
