Birmingham had some good chances and if they put them away it would be a different game

Did they create any good chances though?

First off, I don't remember Westwood having a save to make - and secondly, the chances they did have weren't really as clear-cut as some of the ones we missed anyway. One of the woodwork hits one was off our own player, one was a 25 yard shot from nothing and the other was their only real "chance" in the game as such, but that wasn't even as easy to score as Winnall's was at the beginning of the second half.

Not saying Winnall's chance was easy to put away, but it was more clear-cut than any of B'ham's best chances. They might legitimately be able to claim that they could have scored one or two of their half-chances, but we could have scored one or two more of our half-chances as well - so that doesn't mean an awful lot.

They had 58% of possession, 43% of total amount of shots and scored 0% of the goals.

We had less possession at 42%, yet a higher number of shots at 57% and scored 100% of the goals.

So let me summarise. We are clinical, they are not. We can defend. They can't. We got 3 pionts. They didn't. Here's some tissues Zola and now we move on to Blackburn on Tuesday.

They had 1 good chance.

One.

And even that fell to the left foot of a right back with little of the goal to aim at.

We had several.

Winnall x 2

Someone with a head from a corner

3 x goals

They hit the hoodwork 3 times including the time you've already mentioned

1 x good defending

1 x potshot from range that Westwood would have saved

1 x good chance

ALL off target

Agree with this people get a bit excited with hitting the woodwork, the first time they hit the outside of the post as our defender steered the ball out of play not exactly a great chance for them, the second was a long ranger that dipped at the last minute clipping the top of the bar had it been half a foot lower it would have been easily tipped over, the third was a decent half chance, how many chances did their strikers get?

Its desperate stuff from zola who has been a disastrous appointment they'd still be around the playoffs with rowett, If you lose 3-0 you've never had a good performance, taking positives away from a game like that is something a non league team would do after losing 3-0 in the cup at old trafford.

Seemed like a reversal to the 0-3 a few years back. We played better and they were ruthless.

Last night was the reverse.

Indeed. And not only that. At Birmingham Nuhiu hit the bar at 1-1, they went up the other end and scored the winner. last night they hit the bar (clipped the top of the bar actually) and Winnall scored immediately.

As someone has posted the ref was extremely lenient with them too.
