What's the Difference....

Between winning ugly last Friday and winning ugly tonight?

Can't see much moaning, yet for large parts we didn't play well tonight.

We played some lovely stuff at times tonight, created tons of chances, got some crosses in from wide (including a few clangers from FF) and looked a threat every time we broke out of defence.

That's the difference.

We were better than the Wigan game but the scoreline certainly colours perspectives. Had it only been 1-0 I think there would have been a few grumbles on here (not by me).

Always someone trying to be negative.

It's called debate.

Last Friday the negativity was way over the top.

All I'm asking is what is the difference in winning ugly 1-0 and winning ugly 3-0?

Apart from 2 goals.

Apart from 2 goals.

We played some good passes and crosses when we were actually on top in different spells, thought we were going to get a 4th to be honest.

The difference is not whether it was ugly, any opposites can turn it into an ugly game.

It was whether you are prepared to "TRY" and go forward.

Tonight we did "TRY" to go forward a lot more.

Positive play is what it comes down to.

We got 3 points in both games.

"what's the difference"

"two goals"

"yeah but apart from that"

lol

Sigh.

Do you get extra points for scoring more goals? No.

I'm trying to get to the bottom of why there was such an outpouring of negativity last week when the end result was 3 points both times.

No one else seems to remember all the moaning last week.
