edwinowl
Anyone else pick up on that ? That's unreal and unfair to other clubs, surely this has to stop , last payment for them of 16 m , rest of us get 5. No,wonder the government are stepping in to look at the FA. Begs the question what did they get this year??
ohgoditsjames
If we had that we'd spend it on attack minded players and then make them play negatively. Edited February 3, 2017 by ohgoditsjames

East Yorks Owl
Our total turnover for the latest annual accounts ending May 2015 was just under £15 million. Puts Wigans £16 million parachute payment into perspective.
ReluctantNicko
This season is the 4th and final year of Wigan's parachute money - it's about £8/9 million - not £15 million. It was also £8/9 million last season. The big parachute money was in 2013/14 when they finished 5th and lost to QPR in play-offs and 2014/15 when they were relegated to League One.! I think thats how I heard it. the final comment was that if they go down they get just 1 million instead of the basic 5 all other champ clubs get.
