Didn't agree with Sky's decision for Bannan although he was ok if not spectacular.

 

I thought Loovens held it together at the back well and gave it to him. Sasso for only his second start this season was ok.

 

Never gonna be a classic on a notoriously crap pitch and thought we pressed Wigan well up to the goal but didn't really try to kill the game off. 

 

Wigan look destined for the drop based on that performance, they must be desperate to get the 8 they've signed up and running.

 

We've got to stop given the ball away so easily so high up the pitch, we will eventually get punished for it but thankfully against a team tonight who didn't look capable we got away with it.

 

Great result, not a show stopping performance but seriously who cares when its 3 points in the bag.

Hard to vote this week.

 

Hunt, pudil, Jones were awful. As bad as iv seen in the Carlos era.

 

Reach was woeful, thought Wallace at least offered a target. Would have kept him on.

 

Sasso and Rhodes very rusty.

 

Bannan left isolated because the other three were so poor.

 

Would be looking at winnall/Rhodes with ff out wide. Reach at lb if fox is out

Westwood 6.5- Didn't have much to do but did it well

Hunt 4 - OMG, somebody get me some football boots

Pudil 5, A little better than Hunt

Sasso 6 tidy enough

Loovens MOM 6.5 Did what was asked

Bannan 6, better first half than second

Jones 4- See Hunt

Wallace 5.5 - Did ok

Reach 5 - very avearge

FF 6 - Worked hard, but it wasn't happening tonight

Rhodes 6, Great assist, looks the part but feeding off scraps

 

MacMannaman 5 - Average at best

 

3 points from quite a poor performance

Westwood - 7. Little to do. Did it well.

Hunt - 2. Dreadful. Just boots it out of play and gets beaten to easily. Palmer every day for me.

Pudil - 5. Must be one of our slowest ever players but did at least battle. Offered nothing offensively.

Sasso - 6. Tried hard and tried to be positive but looks an accident waiting to happen.

Loovens - 7. Played well considering the defence he was marshalling tonight and came through it with a clean sheet.

Jones - 5. Played well at Bristol City but really lax tonight. Gave the ball away and struggled to win it back.

Bannan - 7. Not at his best but he tries to make things happen and was at the heart of our only good spell between 30-45 mins.

Wallace - 6. Did Ok and good run for his goal. Surprised he was replaced early.

Reach - 6. Did some good things, defended well and looked decent in patches but still gives it away criminally at times.

Forestieri - 7. MOM. His passion and effort alone win him MOM. Must be an absolute pest to play against.

Rhodes - 5. Isolated and needs better service but not his night tonight. Good assist and wins clever free kicks.

 

McManaman - 6. Lively for 10 mins but then had to sit behind the ball which isn't his game.

 

great to see both Abdi and Semedo for different reasons.

sasso 4 - mistake waiting to happen, passing awful

pudil 5 - as usual

 

Reach 6

Bannan 6

Jones 5 - two left footers in midfield doesn't work

wallace 6 - 6 because of the goal. Contributed very little. 

 

Forestieri 6 - put a shift in

Rhodes 7 - put a shift in with zero service. Good assist. 

 

mcmanaman 5 - didn't take his chance

Westwood 7 - Decent game, not a great deal to do.

Hunt 3 - In a season full of poor performances that was probably his worse.

Sasso 6 - Defended well, some poor clearances.

Loovens 8 - MOM for me, didn't do much wrong.

Pudil 4 - Another poor performance.

Wallace 5 - Scored but didn't do much else.

Bannan 6 - Not his usual energy & passing awry.

Jones 4 - Only player I've ever seen who's sprints are slower than his jogs.

Reach 5 - Involved a lot but to no great affect.

Forestieri 6 - Showed good energy but no end product.

Rhodes 6 - Won the header to lay on the goal but shockingly poor service.

 

McManaman 6 - Not greatly involved but created a great chance for Reach.

Abdi 5 - Not on long enough to judge but kicked the ball a couple of times without getting injured.

Semedo 5 - Not on long enough to judge.
