Jones is probably the natural replacement for Hutchinson? Personally I'd like to see us play 4-3-3 or some variation of that formation. Maybe Abdi, Jones and Bannan in midfield with a front three of Winnall, Rhodes and Forestieri or even have two wide players in the front three such as McManaman and Forestieri either side of Rhodes? In my opinion it's the 4-4-2 formation as well as the negative style of play, which is holding us back at present. I think if we moved Wallace over to his natural left for the first time under Carlos then he will be in a better position to put crosses in for Rhodes. Guest Copthorneowl Posted February 2, 2017 Share Posted February 2, 2017 We've got so many really tasty options but I think it's important that if we have players of top quality on loan whilst at the same time we are struggling to dominate and beat mediocre teams we must give them a chance. Buckley will almost certainly be going back from whence he came and it could be argued he's not set the world alight having had little or no chance. On the other hand we lack wide quality and pace and now have two new strikers who must be fed. Therefore we:- Absolutely must pick Mcmanaman imo otherwise waste of time him being here, and Abdi for that matter we are playing Wigan not Chelsea so shouldn't be any risk whatsoever.
