Have you been creating plenty of chances for your forwards throughout this season?

Half chances maybe

We have two fullbacks who get into excellent positions but can't cross a ball for toffee

In my opinion, Winnall would be an excellent addition

But like you say, we need someone who will drop a ball where he wants it

And we don't make nearly enough clear cut chances

Just a bloke, who used up all his luck in one go when he met his wife.

Evening guys, first off there is no point signing Winnall without signing Hourihane, and that is unlikely.

As some of you have alluded to, Winnall is a finisher, he feeds off exceptional service provided mostly by Hourihane, he rarely creates chances, and his biggest problem is picking up the ball deep, he is poor on the ball, though he is a grafter.  If you do buy him you are paying for his goals, which aren't guaranteed in my opinion.

Fortunately for us, we already have his replacement in Tom Bradshaw who i believe is the better all around player.

Personally for me, anything above 500k is acceptable considering he hasn't signed a new contract.

So Hourihane is the only player in the world who can assist Winnall?

You do know how ridiculous that sounds don't you? I mean, did you re-read the post before clicking submit? Might have been a good idea.

No of course not, i was making the point that Hourihane and Winnall seem to play well together, and if Winnall did join yourselves then it might take him time to form that understanding with your players.   The thing is will you allow him time?

That's not what you said though is it, so stop back-pedalling.

It's like when Leeds fans said Lees was useless and then goes on to be our best centre back in a long time. Just proves modern football fans fickleness and bitterness.

Or like when Charlton fans say Fox is useless. But for some reason we believe them.

Can't disagree with that mate some do get a little bitter quick on here . He would get time as hooper is here and very proven as you know and is a bigger name etc. Even if winnall was on bench for a bit and started to come on that would be good

I agree however it will probably take Winnall time to "sync" up with your players, plus your style of play is much different to ours.

Obviously given time Winnall could be a good signing for you, but will you give him time?  And if you get promotion this season will he adapt in the premier league?  Definitely not in my opinion.

I think the same goes for any player really, even Rhodes, that's why January is a tricky time to buy players as they need to bed in. But we need fresh energy and potentially a replacement for the likes of Nuhiu and Joao who look bereft of confidence at present.

Your style is different in some ways (I'm jealous of wingers!) but given the chance we do like to counter attack just like Barnsley. Earlier in the season we were creating a lot of chances and he is capable of getting scrappy goals, headers and spec shots from outside the box. I don't think it would be a negative buy. I'll worry about the Premier League if we ever get there.

Bannan followed him on twitter then quickly unfollowed him when people noticed

lol

Also he's blocking Barnsley fans who are giving him abuse for joining us.

Think he's on his way. The sort of gamble which normally never comes off for us.

DEH9 did ok!
