However, although Lee somewhat runs games for us and makes us tick, like others have said so far this season Carlos has tried to fit him, Bannan and Hutch all in the same midfield which has meant Bannan on the wing where he is wasted and makes the team uneven. Sometimes injuries like this come with the silver lining that Carlos may now stumble across the system and set up that we have been crying out for all season - either Abdi's chance to prove himself and offer us the creativity we've been missing, or a chance for us to play with two wingers (especially at home) and really stretching and attacking the opposites. We desperately needed two wingers rather than one. Let's hope that's got to happen now. Leaves us very short now though. Bannan, Hutch and Abdi.
