Guest domSWFC
Looking at SAG, and the fact that we simply can't stand at games anymore is ruining the game. If it's so unsafe, surely in Germany standing must cause endless problems. Or maybe in Germany they know how to do their job. Below I have stated some facts regarding the standing areas in Germany. Dortmund Standing Area ST cost - £176 Sold - 55k Anual deaths as a result of standing - 0 Fan support - Incredible Bayern Munich Standing Area ST cost - £119 Sold - 38k Anual deaths as a result of standing - 0 Fan support - Incredible Shalke Standing Area ST cost - £161 Sold - 44k Anual deaths as a result of standing - 0 Fan support - Incredible Wolfsburg Standing Area ST cost - £110 Sold - 21k Anual deaths as a result of standing - 0 Fan supports - Incredible. ... There is no point me listing the rest, the theme continues. Yes, we all agree what happened with Liverpool was an avoidable tragedy. There is no denying that, and the families deserve justice. In all walks of life, there is tragedy. Planes have crashed, we still fly. Smoking kills, people still smoke. Don't punish us for your mistake. If you fear it could happen again, then you clearly can't do your job. Your mistake, learn from it. Improve, and move on. Us fans don't mess up in our jobs and stop you from having a good time. If you can sell beer, let us stand. Beer is far more problematic than a few people bouncing! Give us football back.

The television money has already enabled clubs in that division to reduce their match day prices
aeroswfc
Don't think it'll be many allowed to stand if it's brought back.
ViolaOwls
No fences. Allocated seat numbers, no problem end of. Unless 1000 or so turn up with out tickets and start running the turnstiles, then it could lead to trouble outside, but that would never happen would it

Road Runner
If you fence people in and it gets overcrowded people will get crushed and ultimately die. Into today's game there are allocated seats even if they made a mistake and let in 1000 extra by accident, which is impossible anyway. Then basically fans will pile on pitch due to overcrowding but no fences, no deaths. SAG forget this little matter though, they just see deaths at a stadium. bigash_swfc
Catch 22. Would the drunken idiots who spoil the game for everyone be trusted with more money in their pockets?
helmut_rooster
Simple I you have a stand that holds 10 thousand seats remove the seats and sell 10 thousands tickets for standing simples innit. That way everyone's happy.

The corner of that kop would be ideal. Or even the bottom tier of the Lep, but that's never gonna happen.

If you had 10,000 seats and replaced them with a standing area of 10,000 - how on earth do you work out that the tickets could be £7? do the seats cost £25 per week to feed or something? Prendo's boots
Even if it happened at other Championship grounds it would never happen at S6 anyway I reckon...

But makes a decent income for the team. They are never gonna make tickets free.

Not if they are stuck in a concourse area. I've been on some pretty overcrowded concourses that have scared me in the past and that's with allocated seats and a set allocation. One of the issues we supposedly have now is that the concourses aren't big enough for the number of seats we have, that's not going to get better by increasing capacity with standing. Just not bothered...
