I've got admit that I love CC but this excuse is so poo and I've got no sympathy for any of the players. Boooo flipping hoooo having to play football twice in 3 days for £10,000+ a week.

Yep, he should have come out and slated the team after not losing any matches over the festive period and still being in the top 6 despite injuries and fixture congestion.

Instructive, but the problem with such stats is that it doesn't take into consideration the players available to each manager. Doubtless Carlos has better stats than Gray, but Carlos' players are much better-quality than Gray's. In my view Gray did better with what he had than Carlos has done with his players. Should we be top two? No. Should Leeds, Reading and 'Udders be higher than us? Not in my opinion.

Unfortunately Carlos was already whining on about players being tired before the match. It was an excuse in waiting! If I had been on the Wolves bench I'd have been thinking this sort of talk is negative for them and positive for us.

 

It also ignored the fact that we had 5 days between the Newcastle and Preston matches and yet the players were even worse on Saturday. In all five changes were made so only six players started both games one of whom was Sam Hutchinson whose history of injury is well known.
