Kieron Lee Headless Chicken.

Recommended Posts

Personally I thought last night Westwood, Palmer, Lees,  Loovens, Hutch,  Lee,  Reach had good games rest didn't offer much.

However walking out 2 blokes behind me were going on about Kieron Lee offering nothing and that he's like a headless chicken I think they must have a football brain size of a Chickens but what do you think?

Completely disagree.

Perhaps he's fizzled out in the last few weeks, but he's still one of the first names on the teamsheet.

Works his nads off and is a more consistent player than the likes of Bannan.

I thought he went missing for a lot of the game but still looked the most capable going forward, especially in the second half.

He looked tired and was over to the touchline every 5mins to get a drink in the second half. I know he's been carrying a bit of an injury so maybe he's not 100%.

hahahaha ... absolutely quality is OT at times. It was only a few weeks ago when he was bang in form and scored a few goals, people were touting him for the PL and we where worried when rumors appeared from Sunderland. Now hes had a couple of games below his usual self and hes and headless chicken. Honestly i am sat here with tears streaming down my face laughing.

When will people learn...form is temporary class is permanent!!  I think the people how make comments like this as the kind of people who don't understand the full game of football and attend just for the entertainment side of things and to see a few goals.

It is physically impossible for players to play to 8 out 10 every week and maintain that. Prime example....Sammy H last night absolutely superb but is he going to play like that every game, no he inst!! He will be the next one, the next time he gets a yellow, red or is injured....it will be "liability" and "waste of a shirt"

I agree that Kieron Lee has gone off the boil slightly from his early season form but still think he playing just about ok.

Football fans have a tendency to exaggerate when ever a player is playing slightly above or below par.

Barry Bannan on the other hand has lost form and probably needs to be on the bench next couple of games. Saw last season what an excellent player he is so sure he will come good again.

Most probably an injury issue.

Lee has been consistent this season up until recent weeks.

Amazing how people are so quick to write him off after a couple of 7 performances rather than the 8 or 9's  he usually puts in.

Last night was the first time we've used a three, since last season, so maybe he needs to adjust. He is the link man, digging in, fetching and carrying, and tried to make those forward runs. Not at his best right now, but always one of the first names on the team sheet. In truth, unbelievably in a 33 man squad, we don't really have anyone who could replace him, if he needed a rest

I'm not saying he is no good I'm saying we need better.

I was talking generally.

We got him on a free (I think?) and he has been our most consistent player over the last few seasons, I'm not sure what more he can do.

Well that would be my other selection. I like Jones because he moves the ball quickly.

I like Jones too, looked much better with him on last night imo, tough choices but he needs to play players in their correct position.

Said it before and got crucified but wonder if we should try Lee again at RB. Know he in theory is wasted there but hes better than Hunt and Palmer and we have loads of talent in CM to take his place

But that's the point we need better if we are to progress. Lee has done a good job when you consider what we had before but now the club has a different perspective to surviving in the Championship.
