Im beginning to think Carlos' mode of operating will not get us promoted, but at this stage now that someone Bruce has gone to villa he's better than anyone else we'd get. I think he deserves the chance to see out the season and hopefully prove me wrong. I'd really like to see him do that because he's a likeable manager. Taking hartlepool as the benchmark since losing to us they've been on a downward spiral and are in danger of going out of the league all together. And as we are finding out that will punish you the majority of times. Man Utd should have been clear of Arsenal but they didn't and eventually one chance Arsenal had in the 89th minute they took it, and that's what happens in football. I compare our budget and ambitions most closely to Brighton and they are doing what we're not this season. They've had 7 wins by going two goals up in games which makes a massive impact on games. Either Carlos needs to get his current squad to do that, or if they can't he needs to sign the players in January that can. Or he's not the man that will get us promoted. His ability to grow businesses in such a way is irrelevant. Football is bonkers and many clever and successful people, and probably wealthier than DC have failed at it, miserably.
