For example; The first Brazilian to play in the Premier League was Isaìas, who joined Coventry from Benfica in 1995. Please note: this is only for firsts in the English Premier League, so a player from the same nation may have already played in the English Football League First Division pre Premier League. Not sure if there were others around at the time (Wegerle?) but he played for us in the first PL season, and of course was the first USA international to score in a major Cup Final.
