His name is George Beech. You were wrong.

Such a bad loser.

Why did you accept Tommy Tynan when he was christened as Thomas?

Des Walker was wrong too - his name was Desmond.

Not a sore loser at all - just don't like being cheated.

There's no being cheated. You put a name that only exists in old programmes.

Such a sore loser.

George Beech was called Jack on his registration forms when he signed for the club, when he left the club and when he took over as landlord of a pub. His birth name was George, but he was known as Jack for the rest of his life.

Thomas Tynan was called Tommy on his registration forms when he signed for the club, when he left the club and when he took over as landlord of a pub. His birth name was Thomas, but he was known as Tommy for the rest of his life.

Desmond Walker was called Des on his registration forms when he signed for the club and when he left the club. His birth name was Desmond, but he was known as Des for the rest of his life.

Why accept Tommy and Des but not Jack?

Amazing how desperate you are to avoid admitting you are wrong. Bizarre.

You're wrong, it's not the end of the world.

I think you're missing the point Kivo. It's not about being right or wrong, it's about the fact he wasn't able to verify your answer easily and can't be arsed to update the results.

Yup - but instead remains adamant he's right.

Strange.

It would be akin to him accepting "Dave" Nuhiu as a correct answer.

Not really, seeing as Nuhiu has never been called Dave in anything official like a signing on form.

Although he absolutely should demand to just have 'DAVE' on his shirt.

I'm not saying I'm right, I'm saying you were wrong. The other two were have lots of info about then because they didn't play in the 1800's.

If you put obscure answers that no one else can find them it's your own fault. If you'd put George you would have won. Your own fault.

Stop being a bad loser.

Funnily enough I don't have a copy of his registration form from 1890something. I also never frequented the pub he ran after he retired.

But you're right, you were "cheated".

Sore loser on an internet quiz for fun on a Sheffield Wednesday forum. You might need to re-evaluate a few things.

I tell you what, that George Beech must have been some player because according to the article submitted by Kivo he made his Wednesday debut at under 5 years! Wonder what else that article might have got wrong? Jack perhaps?

lol

P.S. one thing Kivo has proved Adem is that you don't know "Jack"!
