Not quite. The British Isles is the group of islands.

Northern Ireland isn't a country. It's a province. Wales isn't a country.  It's a principality.

The United Kingdom is an internationally recognized sovereign country, made up of constituent parts - two of which are also countries.

I move a lot of concrete on the QVC.

The British Isles is the group of islands (clue in the name)

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, to give it its full name, is a country and sovereign state.

Great Britain is made up of Scotland, England and Wales which are also considered countries but are not sovereign states, as is Northern Ireland

The governments of the United Kingdom and of Wales almost invariably define Wales as a country. The Welsh Government says: "Wales is not a Principality.

Unlike England, Scotland and Wales, Northern Ireland has no history of being an independent country or of being a nation in its own right. Some writers describe the United Kingdom as being made up of three countries and one province
