Welcome to the first Wednesday quiz in the new Trivia and Quizzes section. 

 

Many of you will be familiar with the rules but for those who aren't please see rules below.

Subject: Sheffield Wednesday

 

Rules
- Each question must be answered with a valid answer for that question. Any answer that is invalid will receive the maximum score for that question.
- All questions must be answered, not answering a question will receive the maximum score for that question.
- Answers that are completely wrong will receive the maximum score for that question.
- You must PM me your answers BY MIDNIGHT SUNDAY 9TH OCTOBER,
 DO NOT post your answers in this thread!
- Wikipedia/Google used at your own discretion. It allowed to be used it's totally up to you but where's the fun in that - as the song goes, if you use fkg Google you're a blade.

Scoring
- Scoring will be done after all entries are received.
- The score given for each question will be equal to the number of players with that same answer (example: If the question was to name a vowel and 3 people say E while 8 people said A those who said E will be scored 3 for that answer while those who said A will be scored 8).
- The final score will be the product of the scores (example: if there were 3 questions and your scores were 3, 8 and 7 your final score would be 3 * 8 * 7 = 168).
- The winner is the player with the lowest final score.

 

1. Name a player with at least 200 appearances for the club
2. Name a player that has represented his country whilst playing for Wednesday
3. Name a former manager without the letter A in his first or surname. (permanent managers only)
4. Name a player that has scored for and against Wednesday. (Own goals don't count)
5. Name a nationality of a current of former player
6. Name a goalkeeper with at least 10 first team appearances
7. Name a player that has won the Official Wednesday player of the year award (1969 onwards)
8. Name a season in which Wednesday finished in the top half of their division.
9. Name a John or a David that has played for Wednesday

10. Name one of the former loan players from the pictures below

Is that how the scoring will work - by multiplying your scores? Wouldn't it be better to add them together? Say by some miracle I score zero on the last question - every other answer I give would be irrelevant as anything times zero is still zero. Or is that part of the appeal?

Senior level, full international team. Doesn't matter if it was a friendly, just a cap will do.

You can't get zero, because you picking a unique answer would score 1 so your score doesn't increase. If all your answers were unique you'd score 1 as in 1x1x1x1 etc etc

 

Ah, gotcha. Was thinking too much along the lines of Pointless then!
