Love the lad, but if he would shoot more often he could be a 10+ goal scorer

He should be fined every time he puts his foot on the ball in the box. I don't think I've ever been more frustrated with a player I rate so highly

Don't think this is exclusive to Lee. It's like we're trying to score the perfect goal.

Shoot FFS, it's only worth one, however it goes in!

This is one of these Owlstalk 'facts' again.

Do people want him to shoot when there is no shot on?

That 25 yard attempt yesterday must just be in my imagination.

No, obviously I want him to shoot when a goal is probable.

I absolutely love KL, but just pull the trigger when you're facing goal and 12 yards out. Anything could happen.

I can distinctly remember 2 occasions where I threw my arms in the air due to him not shooting.

One was at the death on the break.

Love Lee to bits. He just seems scared to have a pop.

No confidence when he took that shot, tried passing it over.

Hit it with a bit more conviction and that's causing the keeper problems

Fantastic player but tries to walk the ball into the net at times.

It's hard to tell apart Lee and Forestieri from the back of the kop when they are at the other end. I initially thought Lee had scored the winner.

Maybe that is affecting my judgement on this- attributing all Fessi's attempts to Lee.lol

It's the only slight knock against him.

He's a terrific player, really is.

Works so hard, links things up. . . but bloody hell I wish he would shoot when he has the chance (thing is - he's a good finisher!)

He had a really good chance in the second half where he just needed to pull the trigger (inside the box) but wanted to lay it off or something and the chance was wasted.

In saying that he did have a shot from 25 yards for the first time ever lol

Still - quality player.

Was shocked when I saw he had a shot from 25 yards on the highlights yesterday. Wonder if Carlos has had a word.

I love watching Kieran Lee. Epitomises everything about a central midfield player. I do firmly believe that if he did score 10+ goals a season he would be playing in the Premier League.

He is not a good striker of the ball. He is ok passing it with the side of his foot but if it comes to putting his foot through the ball he rarely strikes it cleanly

This

He just doesn't have the best shot, so he prefers to pass.

Although he can finish as he proved last year.

I would love to know his shots to goals ratio. He seems to only shoot when he is almost certain he will score

He can't shoot, that's his downfall

Not sure I'd say he can't shoot per se...it's more that he struggles to get any real power on the ball.

Perhaps he knows that if tries to put his laces through it the thing will fly off into the South stand.

I think that 25 yarder that went over was the first time I've seen him have a pop from outside the box. He does seem to lack confidence to hit it first time which is frustrating sometimes. But for me, he's the first name on the team sheet, he's the heartbeat of the team.

He was outstanding yesterday.

For a comparison with Abdi, look at Joel's stat thread. Abdi no touches in the oppos box. Lee was a constant threat in their box. The man's energy is immense.
