owls_wawaw
When I watched him last season thought he played very well for us with hardly any great mistake even lees had an off couple of games last year so I think this is a great purchase. mogbad
Wasn't too fussed about the idea of Sasso coming back given the fee reported last season but if it's on a free then I've no problem. I still wouldn't be surprised if we splash out on another CB given we were willing to go to for Hanley. Edited August 18, 2016 by mogbad
oh_weds_we_love_you
Be an excellent signing on a free. I'd have been happy if we'd paid £1.5/2m for him. Intelligent defender and think he'll be even better in the Premier League where there is less rough and tumble for him to deal with - just need to make sure we get there this season!! Beauchief Owl
Good as squad player, but we need better.
Big Jack
Good signing, probably a good fit round the squad togetherness. If free astute business. CC must rate him and as an excellent coach must feel he can develop him further.
sam1
Surely to God not Sasso. Where's the ambition? In all honesty he'd fit in at the likes of Barnsley, not a team supposedly aiming for promotion. The lack of quality at centre half besides Tom Lees will be our undoing this season and most likely be the reason we once again fail to go up. Two consecutive equalling of record clean sheets suggest the defence is not a real issue.

Agree, but, we shipped in more goals last season when Lees was injured, and similarly when Loovens missed the last couple of months of the season before. We all know our defence is strong in good health. When one or two pull out, the outcome is far less convincing. We must have depth in quality, and not just strength in numbers. Conceding 3 near comical goals at newly promoted Burton Albion as soon as the one centre back we can rely on is injured suggests it is.

Didn't realise, that signing better than what we already had, meant only signing someone better than those. Next question, why has it taken us four games into the season to do this deal. Nobody else seemed to want him

We have replaced Hutch in midfield so we are not weaker in that position. I know Hutch played therebladt season on occasions but when he did we were weaker in midfield. Unless we can force another club to tear up contracts.
Night King
Sasso will be here as 4th choice centre half and he's more then capable of filling in. He wont cost a fortune and is a very steady player. Think it's a very sensible signing and he already knows the set up. My only moan is that it's about 2 weeks too late. Guest wilyfox
All summer, most on here have been saying we need a big centre-half dominant in the air. Now all of a sudden, Sasso is deemed to be suitable. I don't get it. Have you talked yourselves into it?
gurujuan
Plenty of straw clutching here, from what I've seen of Sasso he's not the dominant centre back we require
Hawkowl
He had a cracking game at Fulham.
