Which in a sense would be fluid and interchangeable, more or less a 4-3-3 when attacking and a 4-5-1 when we need to defend. I like the prospect of Jones calmly holding in front of the defence as a deep playmaker with Lee, Abdi and Bannan scurrying around, keeping possession and offering support to the attackers. With Fletcher holding the ball up for Forestieri; Lee and Bannan to run onto. At present I think that's our best line up and way to play. Until we bring in some pacey wing backs or wingers. Hard to believe though if he's defensive midfield CC showing some Benitez esq stubbornness with this lineup today. Wallace hasn't been up to snuff and he is persisting with Abdi out wide. It's the elephant in the room, nobody wants to comment on it but to give the team the correct balance we probably can't accomodate both of them. Sorry to be one of those people quoting themselves. But 100% stand by what I said. This is getting beyond a joke now. Wallace needs to come out, Abdi needs to play in his correct position and Lee or Bannan needs to drop out for Jones to give us a bit more bite in the middle. It is clear as day.
