0wl18
Will all the fuss centring around off the field issues, I think it's only fair the ones on the pitch get the recognition they deserve. Joao was outstanding today. Norwich didn't know what to do with him. He created space, held the ball up, ran in behind, he genuinely looked the talent we all saw in patches last season. He could have had his goal but for a last ditch tackle, its good to see a young lad knuckle down and not let internal club issues affect his own performance. He's definitely one for the future and, if he keeps playing like that he's got every chance of nailing a first team place.
ramone
Did well. Shame he lacked the cutting edge when his chance arrived...
ohgoditsjames
One touch too many otherwise he'd of scored. He definitely has technical ability, he just seems to have one too many touches.
Guest wilyfox
Grew into the game. Good second half performance from the lad.
0wl18
Looked like a heavy first touch to me, the defender still did brilliantly to get back and foil the chance.
Oliver Read
He was often accused of being lazy and throwing his toys out of the pram last season at times but if he keeps playing like he did today, it'll really show how he's adapted and grown up and he could be a really good player to have on our books. Essix Blue
Definite ability - just needs to improve a little on choice making. One to stick with
mogbad
Definitely the better of the front 2 today. Hooper looks as though he's running in treacle at the moment.
Earlsfieldowl
He looked ok - can only improve but struggled with Hooper in the first half as we sat so deep. They were a little too isolated. Once the midfield settles and we get the balance right, he has the platform to kick on Edited August 13, 2016 by Earlsfieldowl
acquiescefc
Does seem to be more forceful where he'd get knocked off the ball a lot last year. Going to have to rely on him more now it seems with Fletcher and mardyarse probably not being in starting 11 for a few games.
Holmowl
he was far better in the air today than last season. Very good understudy to Fletch.
Andrew_Owl
Such a frustrating player. Does the difficult things simply but the simple things, hope its his season.
Guest timrud
He really came to life in the second half - a good run in the side would be nice for him
Loppy
For all his positive second half he was poor offensively first half. Barely challenged for a header (apart from in our box where he was excellent), was soft and shoved off ball easily. Reminded me of Madine. Second half was spoiled by not hitting the one on one first time and giving the defender the opportunity. Still lots of positive, and more game time if the sulk is gone will only help. Not true Loppy. He not only challenged for headers but, unlike last season, he won them. Much improved showing today.
Highgreenowl88
Still early on but he looks to have reignited the form he had for a month or so last season

dani_armo
Makes a change to see him starting in a strong 11 rather than when about 6 changes are made He was class today imo, they all were very good

I agree second half. First won a couple, but let plenty go.
areNOTwhatTHEYseem
He's an enigma, is João. He does some lovely stuff at times, but he looks disinterested at others and the game can pass him by. I just wish there were a greater sense of urgency to his game, as if he could add a bit more aggression and tempo, he could be pretty special. This has to be the season where his potential is realised, though.
