Because of his dad. Doesn't mean he'll be decent though, look at Waddle and Beckham's son(s). Too much pressure on young Hirst already

Not just cos of his dad though, unlike your other examples George Hirst has a good record for the youth team and has been called up to the England team for his age group where he scored on his debut - he's showing great promise regardless of his name.

I can't understand why anybody would not want a cup run.  A big away day,  a home game against the elite,  semis or even a final.  Let's be greedy and have a real go at it.

On a personal note I was there when we lost 4-0 in 1991 Dion Dublin and all that strange game.

went up that season too ;-)

Why are people so obsessed with Hirst?

His dad was decent for us, so when he retired we put him out to stud. We're waiting on the return of our investment.

It isn't a cheap job keeping a man bound a gagged forcing them to produce offspring with their genetics that hold the key to natural football ability.

First, and only time i've been to Cambridge, was as a lad for a pre - season game in the 70's, ........ no quick ways back then, no mobiles, no internet, and little information.

Arrived outside the ground at 1.30, to read a small poster sayin'  " MATCH CANCELLED " ..........Happy Days

He's 17 ffs stop putting all this pressure on the lad, he may have a good record but he's nowhere near ready to play for the first team
