Guest oz_owl
I'm just happy Fernando has managed to keep his traditional strikers number 45 that he was given last season. I'd have been super angry if they'd given him 46 or some other traditional defenders number.
DeeeeeJ
I'm struggling to see why people are getting so wound up about it?
bigrbuk
Income revenue, costs more to have 2 numbers on the shirt.
j17tjp
I think that all this will be forgotten & forgiven if we go up. People on here will be praising Chansiri & our lucky new kit / badge / numbers. i do like traditional squad numbers, but I won't lose sleep over it. It must've been close to 10 years ago that Beckham started wearing his 32 shirt.
Guest Coyt
Is there actually official confirmation on this or is it someone just winding folk up on Twitter?

Think he wore 32 when on loan at Milan just before 2010 world cup I think

bigdan2003
In the grand scheme of things the numbers mean absolutely nothing. While ever he's ploughing money into us, and as long as he doesn't change our colour or our name, DC can do what the flip he wants with squad numbers. BRUCE LEE
I heard he determined the kit numbers by making all the players stand in a line and do kick ups Rocky Lekaj will be wearing 1039 this season

WalthamOwl
At the end of the day DC is the owner and can do what he wants. Would be to hear his reasons for the numbers though, be an interesting listen would that.
bigdan2003
Fans really need to accept a little bit of change. There can be change without affecting our identity or ruining our history - he hasn't done either of these things yet.
